Author of the Month: Lynne Ewing

Growing up, Ewing moved around a lot as her father was in the Marine Corps. She graduated high school in Peru after attending seven other schools, and learned to speak Spanish. She first started writing in her thirties for magazines, newspapers, documentaries and the screen.

Her first book, Drive-By, took six years to write. Her second book, Party Girl, was eventually turned into a movie called Living the Life. Since then she has written multiple young adult series, and travelled to Japan, China, Russia, Europe, Malaysia, Singapore, Laos, Myanmar, and Thailand.

She currently lives in Los Angeles.
